Confused about HPV

  • I have type 2 herpes and got HPV years ago. But is it true is clears out of the system after 2 years? Even if I do have it and never had a outbreak for it.

    Correct...according to the CDC, there is no test for men. Also noteworthy, 4 out of 5 (or 80%) of all sexually active women will contract HPV by the time they're 50 years old. The CDC states that there were 43 million infections in 2018, with 13 million brand new infections that year. Currently, the CDC estimates there may be as any as 80 million people infected.

    Does this also apply to men? I had penile warts decades ago and none since. My girlfriend just informed me that she has just been diagnosed with HPV (not certain which type). And from what I understand, there is no test for men
